# 5275. An American Gothic Parlor Chair. Walnut. Size: 44" tall. Seat is 17" deep; 18" wide and 15" tall. Condition: original finish: dark with scuffs; there have bee old repairs to the pierced back with 6 metal braces locking the restorations together; the needlepoint seat appears to be period to the manufacturer. The design elements are consistent with Boston style craftsmanship. We have never had this design before in inventory. There is a Gothic / Elizabethan style to the design. Price: $1,200.00.
The lighter areas show the brass braces supporting the back.
